Blacksburg Center of Dance

Down town Blacksburg off of College street. The same corner as Souvlaki’s only on the second floor. There are two entrances. One near The Green House, and the other near the Library Cafe.

Blacksburg High School

725 Patrick Henry Drive, Blacksburg. Go north on Main Street until you see 7/11 and Lube Time on the right. Turn right at the light on Patrick Henry Drive. The High School is on the left the third block.

Johnston Student Center (GBJ)

GBJ is located near Burrus. From the Drill Field walk towards Burrus. Go to the left of Burruss and as you are walking past Burruss GBJ will be a skinny building directly in front of you. Burger King is located in GBJ, and our club meetings are typically downstairs.

Performing Arts Building

Driving north on Main Street, turn left onto Prices Fork Road. Take the next left onto Stanger Street and enter the Virginia Tech campus. The Performing Arts Building is a small building your left, across from McBryde. It used to be a YMCA!

Roanoke College

From I-81 take exit 140 South (Rt 311/Thompson Memorial Drive). Turn right on Peery Drive (up the hill) and turn left on High Street. Parking is on the left. Colket Campus Center is across the street on the right side of the Quad.

Squires Student Center (Old Dominion Ballroom and Commonwealth Ballroom)

From 460, take the Prices Fork Road exit toward downtown. Turn right on Main Street and go two blocks. Turn right onto a divided road named “The Mall.” Park here. Squires is the second building on the left.

The Old Dominion Ballroom is on lower level on the end closest to Main Street.
The Commonwealth Ballroom is on second floor, farthest from Main Street.

YMCA

Take N. Main away from downtown Blacksburg. Just after Wade’s Grocery (which is on your right) take a right into the YMCA parking lot. It is right before Lucas Drive. There are bus stops on N. Main going in both directions right near the YMCA – it’s the N. Main bus route. See the BT homepage for more information on bus schedules and routes. Also, it is 10 minute walk from campus and a 15 minute walk from downtown.

War Memorial Gym (Dance Room)

Driving north on Main Street, turn left onto Prices Fork Road. Take the next left onto Stanger Street and enter the Virginia Tech campus. Turn right onto Drillfield Drive. (You can try to find a parking place on Drillfield Drive or you can turn left into a small parking lot just before entering Drillfield.) The gym is three quarters of the way around the drillfield. To get to the Dance Room enter through the front doors. Walk through the fancy entrance room through another set of doors past the info/checkin desk. Take a right past the desk and there will be stairs. Go down the stairs (there will be a pool on your right, which you may or may not see depending on whether the doors are open). Take a right at the first hallway (pretty much the only way you can go). Take your first right. Pass the equipment desk on your left. Take your first left. The dance room is at the end of the hall on your right.

Upstairs Ballroom

Take N. Main away from downtown Blacksburg. Just after the YMCA (which is on your right) you will see a sign for “Squared Away Storage.” Take a left into the parking lot up the hill. It is across from Lucas Drive. The dance is located upstairs. There are bus stops on N. Main going in both directions right near Squared Away Storage – it’s the N. Main bus route.
